Writer's picture: Robert A. Dougan, M.A. Robert A. Dougan, M.A.

Job Jumping is more common practice where we see people move around from company to company or job to job every 2 to 3 years. What is important to recognize in hiring these types of candidates are what skills and/or strengths they have acquired in their previous role, and also not to potentially see them as a retention risk. Rather we want to see how they can contribute to strengthening the team. The last thing you want to think about is what strategies will we employ to keep these good people to allow them to progress in their careers with us.

What are your thoughts on "Job Jumpers" and do you agree that they can be a great hire?
